Day 1: Discovering Coorg's Natural Beauty
My journey began with an early morning drive to Coorg, a picturesque hill station in Karnataka. The first stop was **Talakaveri**, the source of the river Kaveri. Nestled amidst the Brahmagiri hills, this sacred spot offered a serene start to the trip. The tranquility of the place, combined with the breathtaking views, set the perfect tone for the day.
Next, I headed to **Raja's Seat**, a beautiful garden with a panoramic view of the valleys. Historically, it was a favorite spot for the kings of Coorg to watch the sunset. The lush greenery and the vibrant flowers made it a delightful experience.
The day continued with a visit to the **Madikeri Fort** and the **Coorg Museum**. The fort, with its rich history and stunning architecture, provided a glimpse into the region's past. The museum, on the other hand, showcased the culture and heritage of Coorg, with exhibits ranging from traditional costumes to ancient artifacts.
The highlight of the day was **Abbey Falls**. The sound of the cascading water amidst the dense greenery was mesmerizing. The short trek to the falls was equally enjoyable, with the path surrounded by coffee and spice plantations.
